Meet the author

Daija Rivers is a self-published author and a mother of two. This boy mom of two, was born and raised in Wadesboro, North Carolina. Daija is the youngest of two siblings. She graduated from high school in 2008 and initially pursued an early childhood education. She eventually took a different career path, and pursued computer science at Richmond Community College. That is where she graduated with her associates in Information Technology. When she is not working in the tech world, she is either writing her next book or making author appearances at events, schools, organizations, etc. Daija has spoken on several occasions about how and why she became an author. Not to spill the beans, let's just say, prayer and the calling played a big part. She has published children's books that show her passion for words and care for kids. She thrives proudly as the CEO of "Higher Purpose Literature".
